An Indigo Gift Card or Electronic gift card can be used instead of cash for purchases made:

  • Online at Indigo.ca - click here
  • Any Canadian retail locations: Indigo, Chapters and Coles.
  • Via Kobo

Indigo Gift Cards can be purchased online at Indigo.ca, or at any Indigo, Chapters, or Coles retail store across Canada.

In Stores: Gift Cards purchased in store have no set amount, but start at $2.00 and can go up to $500.00. Best of all, you can "reload" in store at any time which means you can use it again and again.

Online: Physical Gift Cards sold online (they are mailed to the recipient) are sold in $25, $50 or $100 denominations only. Electronic Gift Cards sold online (they are emailed to the recipient) are sold in any denomination between $2.00 and $500.00

You can redeem your gift card during checkout while placing an online order. For full details on redeeming a gift card click here.

You'll find your number on the back of your Indigo gift card, just below the barcode.  The 20 digit number will start with 604883, and gift cards purchased outside of Indigo, Chapters, Coles locations will have 11 digits in front of the 604883 (these need to be omitted when entering the card number).  When prompted to enter your Indigo gift card number online, enter all the 20 digits, without any spaces or dashes.

Your Indigo Gift Card PIN (personal identification number) has 6 digits and is just like a bank card PIN. It's a unique number assigned to each card - it's an added security measure to help ensure you (and only you!) have access to the funds on your card when making purchases online.

You can find your Indigo Gift Card PIN in one of two places:

  • Under the scratch-away section on the back of your card; Or
  • Next to the Gift Card number on the Electronic Gift Card email.

No. For your protection, each Indigo Gift Card is assigned a unique PIN at the time it's issued and cannot be changed.

Don't worry - you don't need your PIN when buying something in person at one of our retail locations.

If you want to use your Indigo Gift Card online and don't have a PIN, simply take your Indigo Gift Card to any one of our many retail locations and ask the cashier to transfer the balance from your current gift card to a new gift card and you'll get a new PIN.

Unfortunately, we can't trace or re-issue Indigo Gift Cards and they're non-refundable. Please protect them like cash.

Yes. You can check your Gift Card balance via the link provided on our Gift Card's page or in your Account. You can also click here.

If your order is cancelled or returned and you paid with a gift card, a refund will be issued via a new gift card number.

Only if the order total exceeds the amount of your gift card balance.

Indigo's Electronic Gift Cards work exactly the same as Indigo Gift Cards and are really handy to send as a last-minute gift, because they're bought online and sent by email.

No - you cannot redeem plum points to purchase a gift card and cannot earn points when purchasing a gift card.

When the Gift Card is used to purchase products, plum members will earn points on eligible items.
